Steamboat is Sending Out An SOS!
In the late fall of 2020, Robin Craigen and Sarah Bradford were sitting in a local public health meeting discussing ways to help cull the spread of the novel coronavirus in Steamboat Springs, CO. They recall phrases like “this is a dire situation and it’s getting really scary,” and “we need to do something, fast”. Both Craigen and Bradford operate vacation lodging companies in town and have many employees. With immense pressure on their shoulders to do what is best for their companies, families, town and employees they created a battle cry to rally the mountain community of Steamboat together to fight the spread of Covid-19.
They reached out to a local marketing firm, Strategic Design + Advertising (SDA) to help create a message that the people of Steamboat could support and live by. On Monday the SOS message was born after incredibly hard work by the SDA team. On Friday, the SOS campaign was launched and www.saveourseason.org was live.
Within a single week Fraser, Grand County, Roaring Fork Valley, Summit County and Vail Valley signed on to SOS!
If you decide you want to visit Steamboat or any small ski town this year, we ask you to Save Our Season and Stop Our Spread!
